    Good day

According to the manual you should do a compass calibration when the drone is drifting. Is this correct?
Can I also just ask where is the compass situated in the runner 250 Pro?

I have a similar problem, after the drone fell twice. More landing hard on grass than anything else

After that the drone is drifting

The compass does not want to calibrate - Left red light flashing quickly, Right led does not come on during horizontal anti-clockwise turning

Also I cannot get into GPS mode, red light does not flash when flying in manual mode

Is it perhaps possible that the GPS is damaged with the nard landing?

No, You have misread the manual. Whatever you do do not do a calibration from your PC. Do a manual Calibration. You only do a calibration when:

    • The first time you use the model.
    • If you do a FW update.
    • Change flight location by 100 Klm
    • Go to a flight location with magnetic anomalies.
You need to dismantle your 250 and check all connections. make sure you check the ribbon cable under the flight controller. You will need to remove the FC.

You crashed it you ether broke something or dislodged a connection.

    Thank you Brian

I can believe that something might be loose. I read somewhere, the ribbon cable on the FC is a weak point

What the manual is saying is the following:
"if there is circles or drift in flying, please calibrate the compass"

    Regards
    Louis

    That is still not correct.

What you just do is do a calibration FLIGHT. after calibrating the compass.

Following that instruction in the manual with cause a catch 22.

Do a calibration. Fly in Manual. Slowly rotate the model 360 degrees. land and disconnect battery. Do this 3 times then you will get a better GPS lock.

    That is not your issue.

A crash does not effect the calibration. You have broken something or the Ribbon cable is damaged and or loose.

You need to pull the model part. There is no easy solution. Also replace any nicked or damaged props.

    Hi Brian

    Thanks for the info

I will check the drone's hardware over the weekend

In the meantime I did what you say. Fly in manual and rotate 360. It definitely did help with the GPS lock

At least the GPS lock is working again

    Much appreciated

    Regards
    Louis
