So a guy I know owed me like 400 bucks and couldn't pay me but had this 1000 dollar drone which he crashed and took apart and I took it thinking I might be able to repair it but its out of my league for repair so I'm not sure what to do here I don't need a thousand dollars drone because I still can barely operate my 300 dollar one in fpv and I don't wanna stick money into it to break it myself so any ideas on what you think I should do here cause I can buy a used but valuable one for around 5 to 600 bucks

Walkera no longer provide or support consumer drones.

Buy yourself a DJI Mavic Mini second hand. The Mavic Mini 2 is due to be released next month so lots of minis should become available.

For 600 Bucks you should be able to buy a new one.

Yeah I know I think I bought this drone from a "Flea-Bay" seller 7 months ago. Oh by the sellers propounded statement that the "Guy flying it need money to continue their Broke-Ass Cali life-style.
    And . . . .you know Ebay !

Thats up to you. You will spend more money trying to fix it rather than replace it with something better.

    Your call.

Curious if you ever sold your Tali or still have it.

I bought a second hand Tali from ebay with broken arms, 2 bad motors, no GPS, burned out landing gear, and a wonky F12E.

I hot glued the arms, replaced the motors, replaced the GPS module, and wiped out the F12E model that was clearly altered. Cost was less than $50.

Sure enough, she took to the air and I fly her a few times a week.

I'm in the process of reverse engineering the burned out landing gear servos by experimenting with SMD 555 timer chips and replacing the fried micro motors. The circuit board is 1" x 1/4" so it's going to be a tight squeeze. I think I'll shlt myself if I can get the landing gear to work again, but my electronics skills are rusty and I'm not sure how to tell the landing gear motor to reverse when I flick the switch on the transmitter. Apparently the white servo wire changes voltage when the switch is flicked, so getting that to work will be a challenge. I'll create a post about the process at some point for anyone interested in getting their landing gears working again.

The point I'm trying to make is that anything is repairable.
