    DO NOT CHANGE PIDS.

Activate dual rates on your radio.

You can set up the Dual Rates on your Devo7 radio. It is more or less similar to RC Expo. Helps to soften up the stick response and makes it less twitchy for beginners.

The PIDs are already configured with the best value from Walkera. It is also not recommended to tinker with any settings on the F210 using Cleanflight.

    Cheers.

For exactly the same reason you do not hack the Air / Fuel ratio and Ignition timing in your cars ECU. Thats for professional Engine tuners.

If you are a professional Drone Firmware developer then go for it. Other wise your just going to play lawn darts.

Anyone on the net that says any different is just deluding themselves.

PIDs are some but not all of the Tuning / Setting parameters that are used by the FC firmware to determine what signals to output to each individual motor. It determines the characteristics of flight and how that interacts with input from the Pilot. Like the PIDS define how it hovers and then how it reacts to the pilots control input depending on factors like flight mode selected.

If you do not have a complete logic flow chart of the firmware and how the Settings are interpreted by the FW logic you are just making random changes and hoping for the best.

This possibility of a random change being positive is pretty small.

You will see a lot of people out there saying "here try these settings they worked great for me". Misery loves company.

Its starts with what we call in the car racing hobby "The Butt Dyno" somebody makes change and then as they expected it to be better, it "Feels", better for them. When put on a Dyno they say. "What that cant be right." I lost power????

    Cheers Brian

You are most Welcome. Pass this info on if you get the opportunity. There is much confusion out there.
