    If you reset the Devo then you will lose the GPS flight mode.

    The switch that controls the GPS flight mode is cleared when reset and needs to be reprogrammed.

    You will need to reprogram your Devo with the instructions in the quick start guide.

    Make sure you change the Default model to aeroplane from Heli as per the instructions.. If not you will have big issues.

    Hey I followed the instructions in my manual and they were actually the same exact settings as I followed on the youtube video I watched and no luck. Which setting is actually related to GPS?

    Also not sure if this matters but both the video and the manual show this order for FLAP;

    FLAP = ACT followed by FLAP = FMOD

    But A) I do not have any FMOD option but I do have FMD which I assume is the same.
    B) I have it in reverse order FLAP = FMD followed by FLAP = ACT

    I Can't seem to change the order no matter what I try so does that matter? Also I assume neither of these affect GPS activation so I'm still stumped which of all these settings has any affect on the GPS. I'm assuming the GEAR = MIX setting but I do not see any other further sub-settings for MIX.

    Thanks,
    -Patrick

    The order for FlAP and active is reversed in the manual. It is an error in the manual.

    Go to Function Menu-> Monitor.

    Check that the gear channel changes when you flip the MIX switch.

    I assume you have read many of my posts on how to calibrate a walkera GPS model?

    Just checked and under function/monitor when the mix switch is on 0 it shows -100 when it's in position 1 it shows 0 and when it's position 2 it shows +100.

    That is how it should work. So that means that you have not calibrated it correctly.

    Do the calibration routine as per the manual. Do not use the PC software to calibrate.

    Then fly it in manual mode. Not GPS. and fly a slow yaw for 360 degrees couple of times. It's easier if you get behind it and yaw it around and you walk the circle.

    Land and Power down.

    Do this three times and then you should be ready for a GPS flight.

    Cheers

    When you say calibration routine do you mean the compass calibration? If so I've done that a few times. Not really 100% sure I'm doing it correct but I did notice 0 degrees seems to be when facing due north. Is this the calibration you are referring to?

    Thanks again!

    The manual calibration calibrates the compass and sets the IMU limits. You need to successfully complete the calibration before it will hold in GPS flight .

    Follow the instructions i posted previously.

    Cheers

    I'm not clear exactly what you mean by follow a slow yaw. My interpretation of what you're saying;

    1) Do the compass calibration
    2) Fly around in circles 3 times. Either stand at the middle of the circle and fly around yourself or follow the drone around in a big circle standing behind it.

    Also worth mentioning I'm seeing 0 satellites on my monitor despite calibration. I would think even if I didn't do the flying in circles thing that it would still pick up a satellite or two. Can you please clarify?

    Thanks!
