Hi guys, I'm a novice and I would like to know if I can pair the Walkera Runner 250 pro with my new FrSky Taranis X9D Plus without changing the receiver on the Runner. Can anybody help me to figure out what to do? Sincerely thanks, Roberto

You have to put Taranis receiver on Runner

I could match a FrSky X8R receiver to the Runner, but I thought there was a way to exploit Taranis's external modules.

I tried this module but ended up installing FrSky XSR instead and using it with a FrSky XJT module on my TBS Tango. With the multi-protocol module you mentioned I didn't get as nearly the same range as with FrSky, besides I experienced connection drop when it's just a little bit out of range (e.g. blocked by a tree or a small hill) and then it just cannot restore the connection back. It is enormously annoying, because your drone starts climbing up in the RTH routine, you run towards it switching modes, but it hits the branches above anyway and gets stuck there. It may eventually restore the connection or it may not. Anyway switching entirely to FrSky looked a better idea to me for now.

Hi Zoejif, your advice is very useful and I thank you so much. Since I was ordering that module, now after your observations I will also buy a FrSky XSR. Still many thanks for your professionalism and courtesy.

    With esteem, Dan.
