I bought a case of four of these and new out of the box they won't bind, tried turning on drone first or devo 7 first . The seller told me to upgrade their firm ware , funny how there are no clear and simple instructions on how to do that. I would think it should be a sticky thread one here somewhere (couldn't find it)
installed cleanflight and when I open it in chrome plug in the drone press connect says "warning Non-cleanflight/betaflight firmware is not supported, except for CLI mode" close that popup and a message about exiting will make the controller restart.
a bunch of giberish code in the window.
Before i starting messing up these drones figured I'd ask for help.
    Thanks for any

It is passible that your radio is set to the wrong mode.

What stick has the no spring for vertical movement. That is the throttle.

If it is on the left it is mode 2 the right its mode 1.

You will not be able to arm the motors if the wrong mode is selected.

Also you will not be able to arm the motors if the stick trims are not centred. You will see the trim positions on the main display. They must be zero.

    Brian,
because i have a few here I tried a new in box one , to unlock in manual says "left stick pulled left and right stick pulled down for 5 seconds to unlock" (it beeps twice and motors start) that doesn't work in mode 2 if I switch it to mode 1 it unlocks and then the right stick is the throttle and does work but that's annoying because its spring loaded, switched it back to mode 1 and it flew once (crashed because I fly phantom 3s usually)
But the other one when in mode 1 the right throttle pulled down it still says 3 % so its not centered as you mentioned.
How do I set the throttle to center or rather zero when its pulled down ?
also whats the unlock sequence in mode 2 ?

    Thanks for the help

Ok I reread the manual in mode 2 left stick pulled to left and down to unlock.
one remote says 4% now when all the way down(won't go to 0%), can't figure out how to fix that, calibrate doesn't help
I did not try a reset yet. Cleanflight is weird , one version stats finds a port but won't connect to the drone
the cleanflight from walkera site says manual in the top right but doesn't seem to work at all ?

You have to set your radio mode to where the non spring stick is located.

Your throttle stick is on the left side so you have a mode 2 radio. The instructions are for mode 1 radio so ignore them.

Set you radio to mode 2.

Use the trims. They are the 4 slider buttons near the sticks. Set the trims all to zero.

Always keep the throttle at 0 % so hold throttle down and move the left stick left and right to ARM / Disarm.

    Cheers
