The best place to source this update is from iUAS.

    Firmware Updater

I believe this update has been created by Drone Org. (iUAS or affiliate) Its not a standard Walkera update.

I personally have not tried it yet but it looks like the param file has been updated to prevent the Scout from calibrating the IMU at every startup.

You must perform a IMU calibration as part of the update and ensure that you have a perfectly level model (Use a spirit level.) ( factory stye calibration {like DJI})

This prevents the Scout from mis calibrating if you start off on non level ground and attempt a GPS auto takeoff.

Read the install instructions carefully, You must have Mission Planner installed and update the Param file as well as updating the FW via serial angel.

Any members doing this full update and param settings please advise your results.

    Cheers

    Brian - it's from WALKERA.

I've said it a dozen times now. And I'm really getting tired of saying it.
You're either loosing your mind over this or...

Or I really have to question if you even fly your Scouts or even own your Scouts anymore?
At this point it sounds like you're just working off an legacy Scout data base of answers and responses and what others have said in the past of the 1.1 update and the last time you flew yours over a year or so ago? Seriously your responses are one of the two sounding like on this end.

This update has been out for over six months now.

Update your Scout(s) and fly it... and report back.
First hand knowledge... That's the best way to learn.

Reporting back for members is fine - but not the way your putting it.
It's coming off as that's the only way you'll know about this update and it's effects to add to a data base of canned answers.

Again - update your Scout(s) - Fly them and find out your self.

    Mine flies great.

And IUAS isn't God when it comes to Walkera... their simply a US distributor of Walkera.
And if they don't get their butts in gear over there's going to be some job openings.
Hence - Walkera in China is still the big cheese as far as Walkera goes.
