I have successfully upgraded firmware and used betaflight 3.1.x to follow this video.

problem is when I use the AUX2 to arm, beeper works, but arming doesn't.

I have tried also in cleanflight 2.1, following this video, also no success in arming - the motors won't spin :-(

any help appreciated - thanks in advance

    Noob Mistake number 1.

    Don't watch these videos.

Return your model back to OEM Firmware and Settings.

Files are in our resources section.

    Cheers

well, let me supply you with some background.
I've had the rodeo for about 3 months now. On first month, I did flash new firmware betaflight 3.1.5 and no issue at all arming motors and flying.
I went on later to upgrade to 3.1.7,and still no problem.

A couple of flights and crashes more, I noticed sometimes the micro appears to lose contact with tranmission, sort of like having hiccups on mid flight.

On my last flight, these apparent losing transmission became worse, until when I tried betaflight, then cleanflight, the motors won't arm anymore, just emits long beeps.

The FC on the 110 is not a generic FC it is Walker OEM. Changing to non OEM Firmware is not recommend and a Risk.

It may work with some versions of FC software and FW.

Updating Version of Betaflight and Cleanflight will cause a discontinuity in support of the configuration settings.

i.e. Later versions of FW and setting are incompatible with the FC.

e.g. Cleanflight Version 1.2.0 is the latest version of Cleanflight that is 100% compatible latter version will screw up when you reload your default settings.

If you look at the version control information on GITHUB you will see the obvious incompatibilities from version to version.

Also you can't swap between cleanflight and betaflight without saving settings in both programs and reloading compatible FW.

Go back to OEM FW and Cleanflight 1.2.0

If you want to play with settings etc.

Do so at your own risk.

Then you will have a baseline if you want to continue tuning.

    Cheers
