If the motor flew off then you would need to replace the lower body shell as it bolted to the shell and the shell bolt holes would be ruined.

If just the Outer casing came off then just reattach its only held in by the motor magnets. And can be slipped on and off.

I have pulled mine apart and repaired a motor. Its not hard. the most difficult part is getting the front of the shell to separate as it is clipped together.

When you say clipped. You mean pin pressed in or set screw?

The body shell front has a plastic clip.

bjr - I was wanting to remove the top cover/prop shaft form the motor base. Their is a small hole here. Is that a pin pressed in or a pair of set screws.

I was answering the OPs question. To remove a motor on a scout you have to split the body shell.

You are not asking to remove a motor you are asking how to disassemble a motor.

To disassemble a Scout or Tali motor you hold the out runner and pull. It's only the magnetic attraction that holds the motor together. I have not tried this with a runner motor.

thanks guys, I guess what i need is a How To, or step by step on removing the cover, basically one of the motors flew off ripping the cable off, so will need to reconnect the cable.

SO HOW DO I TAKE THE TOP COVER OFF? :)

    Thanks

Remove all the hex screws holding the two body halves together. Remove the retracts.

Seperate the body from the rear. There is a plastic clip at the front you will need to prise the front apart.
