    Hi,
I just broke my usb plug just before calibrating the motors with clean flight.
anyone has a clue how to fix it?

If you mean the USB connector in the model. Replace the main board.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your replay.
Yes, I figured out that I will need a replacement board.
But until I get one from China - is it possible to calibrate the ESC without the flight controller (which is not accessible without a USB plug)?..motors spin unevenly so I cannot fly it without calibration.

I've seen this video that explains how to do it with direct wiring ESC to RX and battery.
Is there a way to do a manual calibration while the ESC and RX are still connected to the main board ???
I tried to disconnect the FC from the main board but then I count not get a bind with the TX...

    Thanks for you help

There is absolutely no reason to calibrate the 215 ESCs unless you have installed third party ESC's.

Most people don't understand what an ESC calibration actually is.

What makes you think you need one? If you motors are running at different speeds then that is normal and part of the Flight controller managing level flight.

ESC calibration is to identify to the FC the Limits of the throttle movement. A kit with a generic FC and unknown ESCs and an unknown radio requires calibration as the FC does not know what the range of throttle movement is. A Walkera BNF or RTF model has ESCs / FC that are factory calibrated to the Devo series radio transmitters RX output.

Any motor speed readings when a FC is connected to a PC is worthless.

Hi - thanks for the replay.
I did install betaflight before the USB broke and did calibration with betaflight , then I rolled back to clearflight and this is when I broke the USB before doing calibration again - so can be that I messed up the factory settings?

It is not just that the motor spin unevenly - even when I lower the throttle stick down to the lowest poitiopn when motors should stop - some motors still spin - isn't it a calibration issue?

Hmm Hard to tell now. A Calibration done in Betaflight might not be consistent with Cleanflight.

If you have motors stopped and some spinning then definitely the Calibration in Betaflight most likely changed a few things including the default settings for flight characteristics.

Best bet would be to reinstall the latest Cleanflight FW provided by Walkera and load the default parameters. Then do a ESC calibration to fix any ESC issues.

Calibration is only one of your worries. You might end up trashing your model. Most likely Betaflight settings are not correct.
