Walkera chose to implement a clone version of the FTDI VCP chip on the Runner 250.

FTDI have chosen to protect their IP by implementing a check in the drivers for a clone chip and then disabling the com port so it will not function.

Due to this all drivers later than 2.10.00 will not allow PC connectivity via Windows to the Runner 250.

FTDI have recently removed the 2.10 drivers from their web site.

If you have the later versions of the drivers installed you will need to connect your Runner and when the driver activates go to devices and uninstall the driver and delete all copies of the driver from your PC. (This will prevent Windows from detecting and choosing an updated driver.)

Then install the 2.10.00 drivers below.

You will need to download and remove the PDF file type and then unzip the drivers and install.

    Gcolla,

I got a reported post off you that this link does not open. I just tried it and it is fine?

Why did you disagree with the post? For what reason?
