I use Walkera Drone on both iOS and Android device. Both are connected to ground not air. Just wondering if the mobile device connected to ground, there should be no difference how far the aircraft fly away. As the FPV signal is received by the controller and relay to mobile device.

If your using Walkera Drone then you are connecting to Ground as you say. Thats the Controller.

If you connect with Aibao Go / Walkera Go you connect to air and that is the drone.

    Cheers

As far as distance its going to depend on how much interference is generated by the phones and what default channels they are using that could swamp the wifi connection.

Further tested Walkera Drone with iOS device. The FPV signal start to lose over 400 meters. If others can fly over 700 meters than I must have a CE standard controller with less power.
